Artificers/Windwalkers/Shamans on all pieces?
Hi, so I'm having a hard time finding information on if it would be possible, say, to put Artificer's insigs on every armor piece and thus gain the armor bonus on each piece? I'm not sure if it stacks on not across multiple pieces.
Also amusing that this is possible, I guess it works for Shaman's and Windwalker's and the like as well, right? Thanks! |

Yes, you would gain it on each piece. Perhaps you're unsure of how armor works. When you get hit with an attack it will strike either your head, hands, feet, legs, or chest*. Lets say you get hit in the chest. For a +armor insignia to be useful in this situation, it would need to be on your chest. Likewise, if you got hit in the legs you'd need a +armor insignia on your legs for you to receive a bonus. So, in short, if you want to use +armor insignia (which is a good idea in most cases) you'll want to put one on each piece of armor to ensure it's always helping. They don't all add up and give you +50AL (or whatever they add up to).
*Chances of getting hit in those locations are the following: Chest 3/8 Legs 2/8 Head/Hands/Feet 1/8 each

Huh, wow, I've been playing for 2 months and did not know that about armor, I just assumed the AR was cumulative. Thank you for that info, it really helped.

Don't worry about it - there are people who have been playing for years that don't realize it. Especially since Shields give their Armor bonus no matter where you're hit.
